Without taking anything apart, a Sawzall would be the fastest & easiest way.

If the tractor isnt going to be returned to stock, then cutting it out is the best way - id remove the gas tank and unhook the wiring so it isnt damaged when cutting.

If you plan on returning it to stock, then itll have to be disasembled .

I have a 80's agway i planned on modding for trail riding/offroad/mud, never really planned on going back to stock with it, but i saved the stock pieces/pulleys anyway - probably good thing i did, i found a beefy GT murray thats replacing the agway, and im going back to stock with it.

I probably will use a side cutter, cutting wheel or sawzall because it wont be returning stock in any way because i already broke all the pto wireing. Thanks for the advise guys!

On mine, I decided to keep mine on. It actually makes a nice lever to grab and yank on if the tractor gets in a bind. I also plan to make a bulldozer blade for the tractor anyway. I think your best bet is to cut it out.
