Excellent! id put like 5-8 degrees caster on the spindles when you weld them on. And the steering arms that come with them should be modified for acerman affect, so it will turn wayyyy better.

Take time welding the spindles on! Not a race. Clean up the metal and maybe look at different forms of welding to weld it on nice and solid. It's the difference between you and the pavement.

5-8 degrees positive caster? And i'm buying spindles from bmi karts or some go-kart place online not 100% sure yet

5-8 degrees positive camber?

No, he means caster, look HERE and HERE for your front axle advice.

The front axle on my rally has 10* positive caster, ackerman set-up, no toe, and no camber.  It handles really well on and off road. Remember grind the end of your spindle into a point so you can get really good penetration on your welds.

Again.

I leveled my axle in a bench vise and used an angle finder to get 10*.  Make sure your axle is squared off first (thus the vise).  You should be able to get an angle finder at any major hard ware store. (Northern Tool, TSC, etc...)

Welded the transmission brackets to the frame The welds aren't pretty but there strong ill clean them up with the grinder.
And i can weld better than that its just it was a tight area and it was hard to see how much of a puddle i was making to know how fast to move the welding gun.

I locked my mst 205 thats going to be used for off roading. My plan is 2 have 2 transaxles one locked for off roading then unlocked 206 or 820 for high speeds and each tranny will have different pulley sizes for different speeds and ill swap them out when i need them. the reason i'm not using a locked transmission is because i don't want a weld breaking at high speeds but i want pos for offroading which is why i'm going to use 2 transmissions. And my sisters tractor had a  6 spd spicer so i pulled it out and put this mst in it to test it before i use it in the racing tractor. but it will be awhile before the tractors done. and so far it works very well might lock the spicer for a spare.

Cool filling in the holes, makes it look more clean. Flap disk is great for taking down welds to a butt smooth finish (Dont ask)

I bought this but havnt used it yet, but figured id show you. ive used old flywheels as a backing to plug/spot weld, works great.

Cool, i've got one of those diamond plate boxes sitting around too, just haven't hacked it up for a project yet. I hooked a snowmobile tach up to a mower engine one time and got it to show something, but I never tried hooking it up correctly to see how accurate it would work. I hooked a wire from the tach to the shut off wire on the coil.

And i got a new laptop so maybe i can do live streams straight from the garage. just an idea and for some reason i cant post pictures on the forum for some reason don't know why. i might have to set up my old computer just to post pictures lol.
