Does anyone know if this would work on a Peerless MST-206 545C? I've seen some say yes it will and some say it won't. I've also seen people say you need an even number of teeth for this to work. Does the 545C have 13 or 16 tooth gears?

So, judging by the video this locker will work with my transmission, correct? Do I need one or two extra spiders? Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to this

You're going to need to get SIX gears for a 800/900 series. Odd number of teeth on the MST's. No good.

Starting to feel stupid but it's been a long day and I just want to clarify. This locker will not work with 13 tooth spiders? Isn't that what the video showed as working?

I used 13 tooth, i only put in ONE extra spider gear. One will fit. I know on paper that doesn't work, but there is a small sweet spot there that you can find, and they fit with out wobleing the bull gear.

You might have gotten away with it for now, but it sounds dodgy to me. A lot of stress concentrated over a small area. Honestly, I wouldn't do this.

I have two trannys locked this way with 13 tooth, one is being driven by a twin. Still holding strong. I don't recommend for high speeds becausenofmthe inbalence on the axle though. Not over 20mph I'd say.
Also, it actual has more surface area than welding, so the stress is really, more spread out.
