13 HP OHV VANGAURD Carb issues

Subject: 13 HP OHV VANGAURD Carb issues April 2nd 2015, 11:45 am

well, I bought a 13 hp VANGAURD for my bolens, and it will only throttle up on full choke. I know that the jets are clean, as I have blown them out with compressed air, carb cleaner, and cleaned them with a torch cleaning rod. I just a cannot figure this out!

Is it getting fuel?

John Greap told me that sometimes he has old fuel line break down inside (from ethonal) and it blocks the flow of fuel.

I don't know much of anything about these engines... but, is your idle adjusted properly?

Yep it is getting a gooD plenty of fuel...

How low is your idle? Some times if they idle to low theyll starve for fuel when you gun the throttle. Try slowly opening the throttle and let us know what happens

Too much air? Is there a leak in the gaskets somewhere?
