| All of our tractors have belt breaks without them we would probably die. Before I put one on my sears I rolledit twice on the same hill because with the chassis flexing the belt wouldn't disengage and over we went with the don't break no matter what the belt stops turning sothe tractor stopped moving.
I've had the same belt on my Sears now for over a year I'm not sure what most people get out of there belt but it's only $20 for a new belt and I'm not seeing any issues a year later

| I was just looking back through the photos of this build a lot of it looks pretty crude but that got me to thinking about what I have bought for it.
I have bought the steel in the lock collar for the custom rear axle the engine pulley and the belt everything else has been recycled and reused from other tractors and random stuff that is laying around my garage.

| Just took it around the block.
Engine doesn't seem to run right though. So need to look into it, but it seemed to work ok.
I did swap the cast iron axle in, which dropped the front an inch. I have 11 inches of clearance at center of front axle.
Over all height is 30 inches.
For comparison my sears has 12 inches clearance nut sits 39 inches tall.
Hopefully that keeps it more stable

| Heading.out for the first test run tomorrow. Switched to a blue Kevlar lined belt and it made 100% differance on clutch operation. | |

| Creepycrawler Redid his clutch, as did on with my sears, and this one needed a test. So we did a short romp today. Had a buddy ride my sears to test it. Vtwin still not running up.to snuff and creepycrawler and the craftsman both had belt slippage issues we need to address but the craftsman seems to work as hoped. https://youtu.be/JIlqASq7U3Q | |

| Nice diamond plate. I'm still thinking of ideas for mine, thiking some bent rod with a piece of rubber fuel hose for your foot. | |

| This is why you don't use plastic pullies. I had forgot I set the clutch up with an old plastic pulley I had laying around. Didn't take long to chew though it | |

| On our last trip out with this tractor the transaxle got stuck in reverse. We assume assumed the shift Fork was to blame. Got it taken apart today and sure enough the fork hsd come off of the shifting sleeve. There was nothing bent butt we did find that the brass bushing on the shaft was completely worn out and assume that it is to blame. Will have to get a new bushing tomorrow. We also felt this to prevent it from coming apart again. | |
