Hello, intro post here.  I'm from the Oklahoma City Metro area.  Love tinkering on mowers and have done so for many years now.  Found this all terrain mower community interesting and now in process of building my own!

Very Happy

I have several, but the one I am turning into a mudder I believe is an 89 Murray widebody.  I plan on locking the diff on this one.  Another I have toyed with is a 90 Craftsman II GT that I converted from a horizontal motor to a vertical.  It is currently unlocked.  Others I have are 75 Sears ST/16, 77 Sears 18 Hydro, 94 LT4000 AWS, and 06 LT1000.

I seen the post where the server removes images after so long and Facebook probably isn't the best to share from due to permissions there. I'll need to set up a secondary location. It would be good for other sites I frequent too. I'll get to sharing soon!

Here is the Murray that I will eventually get to being a mud LT.
Hello from Oklahoma Img_2421

It has a 17 hp I/C.
Hello from Oklahoma Img_2422

Got it for just under $50.  The PO got it running for the engine.  He let it sit a while then tried to start it up.  He said it had spark, but just could not get it to run.  And oily residue was coming out the muffler.  I went to look at it and immediately could tell what one of the problems were. Not sure about the second issue of the oil out the muffler.  I took a gamble and bought it.

Got it home a cleaned the "DIESEL" out of the tank and carburetor.  Went ahead and cleaned the mouse nests under the tins while at it.  Changed the oil, that didn't look bad.  After cleaning it up I decided to give it a whirl.  It fired right up and puked an oily residue out the muffler.  Ran it for about 5 minutes and turned it off.  I could hear the liquid boiling in the muffler.  I pulled it off and started it back up to see which cylinder was throwing the oil.  Neither one shot a drop of anything after running another 5 minutes waking everything within a hundred yards of the house. Twisted Evil   Slapped on another muffler I had and ran it off and on for a couple days with no issues.  Engaged the transmission and it worked in all 6 gears and reverse.  Little tight.  Well anyways, there is the rest of my intro and what I am working on right now!

Here is the rest of my crew of tractors.

That AWS lt4000 is the exact same mower I started with for my romper. Mine is an 84 though. AWS removed, etc. It started the same though. Hood, fenders, everything is right. 43 inch deck?

Yep, 43. Mows great. I looked up the serial# of mine and I think mine said 94. It was given to me by a neighbor that was moving. He could not get it to run. The needle and seat had varnished shut. :-)

If you look at the first two digits of the CODE on the engine, it'll tell you the year. Assuming its the original engine of course. It could be a '94, idk how long they made them.
