Eh, accidentally hit the send button on that last post (using the app lol)

So i made this brace thing. Center hole holds the steering shaft on, outer ones are tapped to hold it on. Turned out good I think.

Got it installed. No flex now!

Next I gotta grind the steering shaft down to fit the hub and then drill and tap a hole to hold it all together. Really wishing i had a lathe and mill right now lol

Ground a tang on with the bench grinder. Ended up being a press fit, pretty much what I wanted.

Painted and installed. Steering wheel sits an inch or so higher, i like it.

So I'm really liking this...

Hahaha, no matter how many times I see that it makes me laugh. Steering shaft setup looks great!

Those smaller tires do make for a nice low center of gravity.  That would make doughnut ripping easier and you could rip around on it like a go-kart with slightly less fear of tipping over.  I wonder how you got those rear rims on there.  Are they meant to go right on a 1" shaft with a 1/4" keyway?

Yeah, they were 1" bore with a 1/4" keyway. Had to put on some different spacers though.

And I'm actually gonna go lock the front axle and try some donuts right now lol

That looks like a rare WW2 era MUTT tractor. The factory had to produce them with those tiny tires due to the rubber shortage.

Hahaha, looks like a blast.

It was a really good time, never been able to throw the rear end out like that without fear of flipping over haha. I really hope my buildoff rig drives like this when it's done, it'll be fun as hell to have something like mutt in this state(low lol) but still does 40mph.

Lol I've done that with small tires . It's defiantly more fun for drifting.

Man the forum is dead this week.

I actually like the look, you don't see too many mowers like that. Nice work on the machining on the steering shaft by the way, I'd love to be able to do stuff like that!

Thanks Matt!

Yeah, she does...

Got the snorkel adapter mostly finished. Hose goes on kinda hard, should seal good. Gotta face off the back of it, and drill the holes to put it on. Throat turned out kinda narrow(1"), I think it'll be alright though.

Forgot to get pics, I'll have em tomorrow lol

I don't know how you can sleep at night knowing that your 820 is in pain scratch I am going to the extreme on mine to ensure it's going to be taken well care of.

What the heck I am running 22 inch itps and ypur running 26 inch flotation tires with 1.25 inch treads and ypur tranny is trying to kill it's drive gears . How is that possible that I could break it easier than yours? And I am going to doc lock it before I ever run it and put on axle supports
