My dogs have been complaining that I ran out of treats 3 weeks ago. The old dog can get kind pushy, so I had to buy a new smoker to make him happy.

The new one is on the shelf, the old one is on the floor. Even with all the mods I did on it, the MES was a POS. The bong and stack helped but there was no fixing the Miami T-stat with a 30 degree deadband.

This is what it looks like from across the shop...

I dont know why the stupid thing says "Miami" T-stat. I changed it 3 times to Miami (son of a... A N A L O G, you dumb bastard. WTF)

Nice, smokey, shop! One of the guys as work got one of those type electric smokers. He loves it! One of the things he enjoyed was sitting on the couch with a cold one and check his phone to check the smoker. Nice. What kind of dogs you got? I have 5, LOL.

The old one is a heeler/ border collie mix, a mini aussie, a golden mix and the house dog is a toy sh*t.

Taking a short vacation from this build to design and build a prototype for a multi fuel smoker that I have been wanting to do for over a year. I have made several improvements to the junky MES and all the parts just happened to be in the shop begging to be put together. The break is a good reboot for the brain on the dragster build and I will be back on it next week with a fresh view of what needs to be done and what needs to be done better. I get going on a project like this and get into the mindset of how to get it done quick and not how to do it best. Little jobs like this get me more focused on fine tuning the details.
Sorry no pics of the smoker build as it addresses several areas that are lacking on most low end smokers and I hope to market this design in the future.

I'm with you tater195, I typically get a project done in about 3-4 weeks.  I'm going so slow with this one that I am trying to work out the little things as it goes.  Also saves on burnout since there is some competition about it.

It is officially a roller now. All but a few brackets for controls/drive, trimming the body, final steering and the floor pan are left.
Then gussying everything up for paint.

This is the most awesome thing I've seen in a while.... gotta give the creativity credit brother

Thanks^^^

The smoker has taken longer than expected. Still waiting on parts and finishing up a few other small jobs that have popped up. After 4 hours of cleaning up the shop and yard, and finally getting the resistor in the golf cart and battery in the prowler, and 80* here today, I have had enough.
