A little bit of hack job body work in progress Welding done and fender re-cut as original. The back part has been reshaped a bit. Better view of the spare tire rack and how the tires will be held with straps. Both will be mounted on rims of course, but at the time, I only had one spare mounted. The cross bar/brace on the down tubes of the roll bar fit nicely around the spares, which are also out of the way of the cargo space to the rear. Here you can see where the straps hook up front. Most of what you can see here will be hidden once the bed side is on.

Started working on a seat bracket. Decided to start with this square section of angle iron, still needs to be welded together. I guess there will be some legs that go down to the floor. The bracket will either be bolted down or welded, once I figure out the best place to set the seat. No adjustment might be a pain for some people.

How about having a bench structure to which you bolt/weld the angle iron seat frames to?

Yeah I could do something like that. My dad suggested using the frame off the old seat for that. I don't know though, I think I would just like to mount them separately.

Taking the stock seat brackets off the original seat. The plan is to use the original seat bolts for one half of each bucket seat. The other side I'll make my own. Did some more test fitting. Turns out the seats don't need to be mounted all that high to be in the right spot. This is about where they'll end up. Still need to finish the other bed side and get it mounted. Also after hooking up the fuel lines to move the truck in the garage, one of them broke, so I need to run new lines.

Yeah I've been trying to clean things up at the garage and get things organized. Making progress. Might take a little while but I'll get it done eventually.

Starting work on the second bed side. This time I'll make the brackets on the truck first and then shorten the bed and do the body work. Rust around the wheel area same as the other side. Painted the one nice spare rim and patched the tire which had a leaking plug. One more spare still to go, plus the ones actually on the truck. Part of the old seat bracket about to be welded to the new seat bracket. On the opposite side of the seat, I'll have to make my own as there was only two brackets from the old bench seat. At least this will take care of half of it.

| Painfully slow progress being made on the truck. Recent completed items... -Roll bar and sections of the frame and welded areas painted black, mostly to prevent rust for now -New fuel lines installed (old ones rusted out and leaking) -Fuel tank installed

I know it, normally I have some. Tomorrow I will get pics of the new paint. I'm thinking the gloss black isn't so bad on the roll bar. Maybe I'll just leave it that way for awhile. I still don't know for sure what colors to paint it. Would yellow with a black stripe on the side look any good? Thinking about the dirty mary crazy larry charger. But not sure how the giant ATLTF.COM letters would look with those colors.

That does look pretty cool and I could do that pretty easy with a brush. Hmmmm. But I always thought about the ATLTF.COM being so big that parts of the letters are missing in the fender wells. Some modern race stuff does that with their sponsors. Anyway, current progress on the roll bars and gas tank. Roll bar is partially painted.
