I'm thinking of swapping a peerless 600 into my Bolens. Has anyone swapped a 600 into their rig? I'm liking the fact that it's all gear and has the same diff as the 801 that's in there now. My only issue is if the shifter will have enough clearance to work the way the tractor is setup. I know I will have to cut a hole in the floorboard, but that's not an issue. I also know with a pulley swap, the gearing in them will work great for romping. Thanks in advance.

That would be interesting to see....I'm just going for simplicity and stoutness. The 801 doesn't like to stay in gear and you have to "hunt" to find the gears sometimes. It's just nicer to be able to physically put it in gear and you.know it's there.
