Forgot to post this! I finally found an easy way to set up the throttle as a foot throttle. I simply unbolted it from where it was and brought it around to the other side and welded a little bracket on the mower. I did attach a return spring but its not in the picture.

Finally got a few hours of rain so I decided to go for a little romp near my home. Pretty satisfied with how it did, The steering is a little shaky but the turf tires did surprisingly well.
Still no brakes but no need for them at the moment. The idea was to go do a little mudding but due to lack of rain recently, it became more of a hill climbing romp.

It sure was. I am planning on making the front axle stronger and maybe getting springs that are a little bit looser. these ones don't even move and the frame just flexes. I might also add some frame strengthening brackets. I am also adding a few hitches to the rear bumper as soon as possible, and I still wait patiently for rims/tires.

FINALLY!!!!! Haha, just kidding. Looks cool! That tube steel axle appears to be pretty heavy duty.

Yeah its damn solid. i wanted something a little tough and i couldnt find cast iron so I just made it myself, its still pretty much the same dimentions though. Do you think i should mount it on the front of the frame or where it was originaly... people tell me that when the wheels are further apart its better for the mud.

I'd say mount it where it would cause the least amount of clearance issues, so probably where it was originally.

I haven't heard about the further apart for the mud before.  Personally I would want it under so I could rock it a little better.

AH, i know what you are talking about. It all comes down to personal preference. Most have it under the frame to my knowledge.

Ok well its gonna be hard to strengthen the frame where I cut out the old axle so maybe I will just put it back where it was although I kinda like the look of BTMGs mower.

Go for it! It's ultimately your build! I think you would be happier if you did! if it doesn't work out or breaks, bust out the wrenches and try again! This is something you should have fun with! (With a little side of safe) Either way, you'll do great!

Yeah I will try to move it forward a bit, maybee to where the exhaust was and it will also leave me more room for coil towers and it wont be underneath a return spring that takes up a lot of space.

Did I forget to post pictures of th sick bumper that I made? It's really heavy duty and it looks great in my opinion. I need to figure out how to wire the lights now. Also I found a manual boat trailer winch at the scrapyard for 5 bucks should I mount it on the front?

I think that manual winch is a good idea. My Dad uses a few of those at his farm for changing the height of elevators and for a crane on his trailer. You don't need a big battery or alternator. You can use a snatch block to double your pulling power. I bet a hand crank winch would almost be 100% reliable too.

yeah then I don't have to rely on a stupid battery all the time. i just need to find a good rope for it now. The only problem is it will stick out the front of the mower in front of the bumper.

Maybe you can build a quick-release for it. Then maybe you can store it somewhere else on the tractor and only put it on when needed?

Not a bad idea mighty but there would still be a mounting plate sticking out the front of the bumper.
