Spindle grease packing into the axle? Looks to be moving along!

interesting start to your twin I-beam set up. are the brackets that are welded to what’s left of the factory axle for your shocks to mount to?

Yes the bracket is to change the angle of the adjustable coil over shocks I have set aside from BMIkarts. I actually designed and bought shocks 3 years back but never got around to attempting it till now.

I'd be afraid of cutting those plates, may add some unwanted stress on the frame.

Not sure how it would for him?  I see people remove it all together.  I think it is good use of what you have.  Smile

Decided the only way to get the wheel geometry on the front right was to build the custom rims. If anyone care to make their own I will add the original how to on the bottom of this post.

Don't look now but I think your front tires are mounted backward.

Looks pretty cool Neil! One thing you may notice with this setup is, being that you have a single tie-rod instead of a bell crank with dual tie-rods, when the beams drop the wheels will toe-in because the distance between the wheels is getting shorter. My little Ford used to do that but I recently made up some limit straps so the beams do not have extreme droop anymore. Looking forward to more progress on this!

That problem is already in the works to deal with. The goal is to have the steering work just like a 2wd ford range. Triangle linked Tie rods with frame rail steering pivot and all.

Ooh, okay. Sounds pretty cool! Should be a good working setup when you get that all together.

Cool deal MMM.  I was afraid your build was going to be on hold a bit with all that is going on.

Ok So this is just a mock-up but you should get the idea. It's a ton of trial and error at this point but we shall see.

Thank you!! I do not think I had another polite think first open mouth second comment in me for him.

At this point the next thing is to set the tires 90 degrees at dead center of travel and weld in the front I beam bars. Measure 20 times weld once and hope it's right.

does'nt look like a Peerless. 930 has some differences, and it's no MST. a Spicer? or Foote?

the Locker looks interesting. But I think I will go for the Doc Locker, cuz it looks like the sturdiest way to go.
