Welcome Mike! If you need any help figuring out images, check the how-to in my signature below. I built a simple tractor for my daughter too at 9! Ours is called the Purple People Eater. She is going to be 12 this year, I need to upgrade her from that machine!
i know but my project isn't eligible according to the rules as i feel its about 75% done. the most noticeable things have already been done to it.
Aside from that i would like to 1. learn the page how to do what i need to do. 2. get this project completed so i have somewhere to work on a new project.

here is the project i have been working on (Purple Power) the seat is mounted directly to the frame the hood has been lowered 5" the dash came from a yard machine mower, just happened to be perfect measurement with out cutting the steering shaft has been shortened 6" the rear end has been moved as far back on the frame as possible, i think 4 or 5" yard machines fenders and floor boards
it needs clutch pedal finished throttle pedal and cable fuel tank wiring and painted purple
will also probably get tires but that isn't stopping it from getting rode right now

@Crazy_Carl i will i have pictures from start to current its been a rather slow project right now I'm kind of hung up on the fuel tank, i know what i want but having trouble getting it.
i want roughly 6" round and roughly 18" long and if you see the picture i posted i want to mount it behind the seat but on top the fenders.
also the clutch pedal is holding me up i bought material for it and it wasn't strong enough so now im waiting on being able to buy material again to get heavier this time

I'm pretty sure I saw something in this Red Beard's Garage video about custom gas tanks. He knows a guy that makes custom aluminum gas tanks for projects just like this. The one he showed in the video was a custom one for a mini bike chopper but the guy would build tanks for other people too.
