Mower looks fantastic too, you have a lot more patience than I do

In G Mowers are really expensive, even the Parts, so I work thoughtful and good, to have fun with it the next 20 Years, to have free Time for a new Mower Project

Update of the work of friday

My fu**ing Onedrive brought me into trouble, because it had'nt worked, so I ca'nt update you.
Hopefully it works now.

I got some Packages for my mower

the mower deck blade spindles (buying new ones were cheaper than buying new bearings) scratch

A 12V socket with USB charging adapter

And the Belt for my Transaxle.

Had installed it, but i realized, it rubs against the shifter, and the idler pulley thing wo'nt work correctly, so I need to add a 2nd idler pulley, that's installed at the place where the clamp sits right now.

Once my Idler Pulley has arrived me, I can do the first test Drive! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I look forward to the test drive! I also should probably get a 12v adapter for my tractor, oh well she's already wired, haha.

I need the 12V socket for emergency. I have a 12V electric winch, you can add to your trailer hitch, and to power it, i need this power outlet.

I have a 12v plug on Mutt, think it was a few bucks at Wal-Mart, and just cake to wire in. Can plug my phone or camera or little air pump into it, it's really handy.

New Ignition Lock

The stock Ignition lock were one of those old INDAK 5 terminal ones. I dont like them, because the keys can break so fast on them, and the keys are very easy to copy. And the old one has no light terminals.

so i got this one (again were it cheaper with shipping from the US than buying one in G  Laughing )

I think, it will do good in my mower. Also want to relocate it, because the old place is not very good.

Here you can see the new location of the Ignition Lock ( the old one were down where i had welded some metal in) and down in the middle i want to install my 12V with USB Socket.

Are you right or left handed? I like my key switches on the right side because I'm right handed.

I have that same key switch on my John Deere. Here's the problem, if you're trying to be discrete when starting up your tractor at night around people or you don't want to give your location away, your lights will flash when you start your tractor. Not a big deal most of the time, but it's convienent having one switch for everything.

Thanks. I dont Understand the sense of flashing lights while starting, because you dont have enough power to crank the engine if your battery is empty. About the Problem with the Location i dont worry, because my Mower will be so loud, you can hear it from Germany to the USA Razz I ca'nt put the lock on the right side, the Varidrive selector would hit it. Stock were it also on the left side.

I think he means, when you turn the key to start, it goes past the spot where it turns on the lights. Think he's saying the lights come on for a second when you start it, which is annoying if you don't want people seeing you at night. Stealth mode lol.

@mr.modified That's exactly what I meant.  This switch isn't great for stealth.

@SebastianAlbrecht The switch will do the job just fine and I like how you're adding the hidden kill switch too.  Be sure to post pictures of it on the internet for your neighbors or potential thieves to see.   lol!

Carl, i can post the pictures, but i do'nt think one of you want to travel to G and try to steal my mower, and if it wo'nt start, you only need to disconnect the kill wire that is coming out of the engine Razz

You did a pulley swap on the vari drive I see. On my red riding mower I built up years ago like you are doing now, I had to put an idler pulley in the same spot to keep the belt off the linkage too. I also had to put a double pulley tensioner on it too. Only because I used the stock belt size, which was too big after the pulley swap and had no idea on where to get a belt at the time. With the addition of 2 more idlers in the setup and on the trans belt, the belt slipped in high/high gear. The belt was too stiff to go around it all and the little spring couldn't pull the belt tight with the addition of the second pulley on the tensioner. Should have worked right if I didn't have the second pulley on the trans belt and on the tensioner. If you find that the belt is slipping, I would suggest to put the second pulley on the same side as the added pulley, but on the outside of the belt, after the 1st added pulley and pushing the belt into the trans pulley for more wrap around surface area on the trans pulley, and the pulley should be stationary.

I redid mine and put the stock size pulley back on the trans too go slower for cutting the grass. Top speed is 9 mph too.

Your welcome.
Did you figure out how to do the second shifter for the transaxle? Mine is under the seat for now.

I want to fit the 2nd shifter where the F N R shifter were. To do that right (reverse shifter backwards, 6th gear shifter forward) i need a pivot point, and some linkages. I had tried the shifter earlier (you can look a few contributions earlier) but i need to redo it, because it will hit the 2nd idler pulley and the belt

Maybe bring the shifter rod straight up and through the fender and make the linkage on the outside of the fender cover. Pretty cramp in there now. Probably going to have to notch the belt tensioner arm too because it looks like it might hit the shifter rod for the transaxle when shifting gears.

Yeah, all true words. Got the shifter done yesterday, but the last days i ca'nt upload any pictures, because my fu**ing Onedrive now uploads the pictures, but if you want to copy them for the post, they say error Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I will try to upload the updates
