That looks like a really heavily built trailer. Cool project.

@MightyRaze Last year I traded some work for this exact same trailer. Mine's an '07 and a little rough around the edges but it's a great size for garden tractors. Works great for hauling Ol' Red around.

Could be. I imagine there's a good amount of heat there too when they run for a long time.

I've been kinda eyeing the very shiny spot on my engine pulley on Ol' Red. I've been running a blue kevlar belt since that pulley was put on and haven't really put a ton of hours on Ol' Red. I should periodically check it for ledge wear. I'm going to be keeping a close eye on these pulleys.

Oh yeah? Interesting, I had never heard of such a thing. Now that you mention it though Mighty there doesn't appear to be a hi/low range handle, so you're probably right. |

I brought home this hunk of junk today. Two good things I noticed are the 12 hp flat head Briggs and the gas cap that fit my wheel horse perfectly. Oil drain cap is missing but the motor does move a little bit by hand. It has a five speed spicer which I don’t know if it’s worth putting in my John Deere or not. This tractor practically has no frame so it’s definitely not worth building to me.

I think spicers get a really bad rap. I'd put it in your John Deere, do an oil swap on it, and just not put too high of a ratio on it. Maybe a 1-1.
