So put another set of disc gangs behind the wheels to get rid of the compaction? That’s how my dad’s is set up

Yeah, putting two more gangs at the back was what I wanted to do if I could find some.

Well really, all my tractors are work rigs whether they like it or not lol! But the B-110, having the sleeve hitch and what not, is much better suited for ground engagment work and such. Also it can do the snow plowing come the winter.

Well I got the issue with the wheels on the disk harrow figured out.

I re-made the drawbar attachment for the quick hitch and modifed the frame for the disk so that the wheels would come off the ground when it was fully lowered.

The new drawbar attachment:

You just take off the the snapring and lock collar then slide it in one way and out the other to remove the attachment. Works great!

Disk harrow raised:

Lowered:

Works great!! Digs pretty good with the weight hanging up there as well. I have the gangs unbolted and slid off now because I'd like the paint to whole frame, probably do that tomorrow. Also I found out the transaxle in this ol' girl has 1 1/8" axle shafts, which is pretty neat. Shouldn't be breaking those anytime soon. Haha. Let me know what ya think!

So.....

Just a thought for ya. How about taking that "spare" machine, lower it and create a Rat Rod 2.0.
Just not sure how you could lower the rear on that thing. LOL

<pay me no mind... running on minimal sleep>

EDIT:

Just wondering... will that K181 engine you got work in that spare Allis?

Thanks! Haha, I can't see me doing that with the other B-110, I may put an engine in it and mess with the pulleys a bit just as something to cart around on, but that's all.

Heh, real funny you should mention the K181 and a rat rod 2.0 though....

Hahaha. But anyway, we'll save that for next year.

Today I made up a little pull start for the front of the ol' B-110:

Probably not really neccessary, but having a sharp spinny thing on the front of a machine just seemed like a good idea. lol!

Also I finally got around to getting rid of the paint on the grille pieces that someone layed over the chrome.

Before:

After:

Much better!

The other side didn't turn out quite as nice becasue there's a little surface rust, but still way better than the crumby paint that was on there before.

Also got the steering wheel spokes cleaned up as well, haha.

There! Looking much nicer now. Glad to have that done, haha.

chrome cleaned up great!  Are you using steel wool? How about putting that K181 in the other B-110?

Thanks Carl! I actually used a wire wheel very lighty, and a couple different size wire brushes to get in the tight spots. I was gonna put some chrome polish on as well but I kinda ran outta time.

Nice work, pull start is always handy. The chrome looks better than the black paint. Can't wait for the LT 11 build!

Thanks Matt! Yeah I really like the look of the chrome. Now if only I could get some of the chrome hubs caps to go on 'er as well! Hahaha.

Thanks CQ. Haha, believe it or not my original idea was to hole saw that pulley off and use the hub to make something for a crank to grab on to. Unfortunately though I didn't have time to do all that so I just did the pull start. Might still do the crank though, this thing isn't super easy to pull over being that the pulley is so small. Plus a crank would he super cool, lol!.

Put the blade back on the ol' B-110  yesterday, I was noticing it was quite floppy at the pivot point so I wanted to put some new hardware in it.

Grade 8 bolt with some washers in between to tighten it up nice and snug. You can also see the pin I made for the pivot lock, I welded the handle thing on it so it was easy to grab.

Works good! Much better now without all the play, haha.

The heavy duty blade works great for moving dirt too! Gonna be fun to try it out on some snow this winter, haha.

Yeah it was a carriage bolt I found that had the threads cut off right at the shoulder. Seemed perfect! Hahaha.

I just noticed how small the pulley for your pull rope is.  I bet that is a chore to pull.

Haha, yeah it was pretty tough. I actually ended up just taking it off, figured I didn't really need it.

That mod lasted almost a week lol! Oh well, I'll probably use it on something else someday.
