It does! At first I literally thought it was either a rap or decals.

Today was my wife's mom's birthday so not much done today.  I was able to paint the dash this morning and that is about it.  Oh, I have my new tail lights in, and I have installed a new better guage (+) battery wire as well.  Also going to re-route the wire outside the frame-rail as the belt would rub it.  Now with the 5/8 belt.  I could guarantee it.

The dash... only pic I took tonight.

Very nice dash. I had the same paint scheme idea but different colors. I doubt mine will look as good though.

Worked from home today for work.  Did a few things in my down times.

Added a light on the dash to remind me the key is on:

Lights Off

<clap clap clap> Lights on.

Most of the wiring is done.  Just need engine connections and headlight/fog connections.  I'll probably start focusing on the front end suspension build now.  Supposed to finally cool down out of the 90's next week.

I had a feeling you we're going for doubles... Not sure why. Either way it looks great. Reminds me of something, closest thing I can think of is the back of a semi-truck. Definitely more modern than them old ones.

I'd add some floorboard lighting, really helps you see at night as I'm sure you know since you have them on Kal.

Yeah, but lights would be out of place on Rusty. It's awesome the way it is!

Looks like I have PLENTY of room to install a shock tower under the hood. I'll work on getting that done and the front axle hanging on the shocks. I seemed to have lost my 2 heim's I already had on hand for my panhard bar that I will be making. Then some links.

You won't need that track bar with the super fancy triangulated 4-link setup you have planned. lol!

Really though, did you ever decide what link setup you plan to run? I can't remember whether you mentioned it yet, haha.

LOL, yeah, maybe not  I got to figure out fitting a rack in there too!  LOL

Actually I did mention.  I was thinking on the lines of what you have on the MTD.

Ooh okay, I see. Yeah a Y-link would probably leave you some room to squeeze a rack in there.

I've had a lot of down time at work today to think and plan on this.  I do not have any of the materials needed to make the suspension like you have on MTD.  I do have plenty of material leftover from KAL to make another monolink.  I will probably do that again.  It has proven to be pretty reliable!  Plus I it will give me more options to mount a rack.

I had a little time to make a shock tower last night.  Welded it together today.  I think I have started figuring out the welder a bit more.  Finally got it to not burn so hot melting my steel but still hot enough to get a good penetration as you can see by the V's on top of the angle. Seems pretty sturdy.

Mighty's Li'l Red H.E. 2.0 - Page 4 Img_2147

I think I have decided to go ahead with the monolink here too.  I kind of like it and it is pretty sturdy.  It's proven itself many times.  I have 6' of square 3/4 tube hanging out that I can use to build it.

So, we're not doing an independent setup, right?

Where'd you get them shocks at?

Oh, I've had the horn for quite a while.  It's been on Li'l Red since before I was running the 80's style hood.  No, going to do a monolink like I did on my blue tractor Kal.  I've done it a couple times now and it works well, and works well with a rack and pinion too.  Not too much to get in the way.  I've had those shocks for years.  They came off of an old youth 110CC Chinese ATV frame that I have been scavenging.

I've been looking at those shocks for a few days when I was sick and thinking.  They look kinda rough.  I should take them apart and clean them up.  Not saying I did, but some sketchy floor jack and tie strap action may have happened to get them apart.  I can neither confirm nor deny it happened.

OK, they are done.  Not 100% happy, but they work.  My green turned out to be pretty junky paint.  I told myself I would never use Krylon again... this is krylon and it did not disappoint disappointing me yet again.

I have used Krylon a couple times I think. I don't remember having a specific issue with them. I have had issues with really cheap no name brand paint, that stuff is really bad. Generally speaking I use rustoleum brand spray paint or duplicolor.

I have noticed that some colors, yellow especially, seems to go on a bit thin and will need to be coated a couple times. It helps to use primer so it's all one color first but even then sometimes you'll need a few coats. Usually red or black coats well without showing through. I don't know if it's a color thing, like a certain thing they use to make that color that messes it up, or if it's a brand thing. I know yellow is usually a problem for me but not sure which brands I used at the time.

Also I know black really is extra sensitive to high humidity. It will turn grey and blotchy if it's too damp while drying. I suppose other colors will do the same but I noticed it most with black.

Springs look decent though.

I really need to get some traction on this rebuild.  Aye.  Ahh

I have some parts on order so I can make heads or tales what I am doing.  I have a different Murray front spindle on hand that is way shorter than the one on Red now.  Looks to be in better shape too.  I know I have another "matching" around or I did. (hope i still have it) and I will replace the ones on it.  I just don't feel comfortable with the drop down length of the originals.
