Ok so I have this old kohler the pump and carb was junk on I have so far put a new carb on it and have got the engine running now my ? Is can I use the hole in the crank case were the mechanic pump went to run a pulse pump

I gutted the factory fuel pump and sealed it up will use one port on the fuel pump to feed the pump other port is sealed off
