| Ok, I have 2 6.5 OHC motors I was wondering if 1 of them could be modded to pull a lawntractor? They are something I had around to tinker with. | |

| 6.5hp is plenty to move you around at a decent speed. Its not going to be powering a deck, so it would be easily capable of 25mph if you wanted it to. | |

| you know by looking at those pics, those arn't ohc, rather ohv over head valve, i can definitely tell by the one engine, and the other one is hard to tell but i know how the ohc heads are shaped, they are more tall than wide, but if they are both briggs, they are not ohc cause i don't think briggs has made many of ohc but alot of ohv. just somthing i noticed, lol | |

| If they were from a pushmower, theres a good chance the flywheels are aluminium! You'll need to get cast iron replacements for them otherwise they wont like to run, and will be sore to start too! | |

| and also its a good idea too when replacing the flywheel is check how the key is, at my work someone hit something so hard that it not only bent the blade but shattered the blade hub in half. yikes!!!!! anyway, they look like push mower engines so, get a cast iron fly wheel, now where do you get one, well you could look for an engine model that can run without the blades and see if the flywheels are the same size. also they will start, but you'll have to pull really hard, and when they sometimes are running, they run goofy and sound different. Like they are extremely jumpy too. but if you already know all this i just typed for nothin. lol. | |

| I already know about the flywheel issue . i thought about putting more weight on the pulley and balancing that. it is just a thought. And the ohc issue , that was a typo i never caught. | |

| I was toying with the idea of using wheel balancing weight and an aluminium flywheel. It could work pretty well, and save you money. But Im not sure how much extra weight you'd need! | |

| I wouldnt use wheel weights- any little imbalance and the flywheel could fly apart - youd need to spin the flywheel on a machine ( like a wheel balancer) - just be cheeper to get either a cast or billet flywheel. | |
