12 hp B&S help!!!

Subject: 12 hp B&S help!!! April 2nd 2013, 4:28 pm

For some reason every time I crank over my engine it won't start and a big line of gas comes out the muffler. Pls answer for me. Thanks

Float is probably stuck, and the carb is dumping fuel into your engine unchecked. Shut off the fuel, pull the spark plug and change the oil.

Once that is done, take the bowl off the carb and clean it out really good.

yea i had a needle vavle stick and a half gallon of gas ended up in the motor. take check needle valve new plug/oil and if i were you id put a fuel shut off on it and everytime when done riding shut it off.

Hah well they're exactly right. Also it could be a fuel pump but the small engines don't have them. Smile
