I know my hydro wines and also our John Deere x740 transaxle also wines.

It's not super loud but I want to lock the gears anyway so I'll pop it open. It whined when I was idling up a hill, so it could be the belt or pulleys. We'll see! It isn't a hydrostatic. If I can find another transaxle for cheap I'll probably pick one up. Thanks for the encouragement guys!

What type axle do you want to have, 3/4" or 1"?

Most times, bigger is better. Whoever said "size doesn't matter" never played hard enough to break something...

i agree bigger is better in most cases like for offroading with a mower sometimes depending on the conditions of the trails sometimes its great to have bigger tires and sometimes Turfs get the job done Razz

When i had turfs on mine is didt do bad better than i thought it would do but the car tires do better it will crawl over just about anything now.
