So I wanted a trailer to be able to carry stuff when I go on long trips, without needing a bag. I got a plastic tool chest last weekend for $10 with tools in it, and it was the perfect candidate. Using a futon frame made of 1" and 1/2" round tube steel and an axle off a MTD, I set off to work.
Build time: 2 days. Estimated carry weight: 250lb
I took clips of my progress, will be up sometime eventually.

That is one nice looking trailer.
i do have a suggestion. Add a pipe from the hitch and threw the axle. it will give you more carrying capacity and help keep the axle in place when going over obstacles.

I might later on down the road. I was thinking of reinforcing but I didnt have that idea to run it down the middle.
The axle should be good though, its welded solid to the pipes and i used the tie rod as angular supports.
