I know that losing or removing a governer can make small engines run faster. But if I want to get my 22hp of 16hp moter running faster what should I do with the governor.

i left my governor on my 18 hp vanny and she does just fine through deep mud

My group runs all stock motors with the governor removed / bypassed. I'm sure the engines wear out earlier than they would without the mod, but we have had very few problems in 15+ years of running our tractors hard.
