It sounds like a carb problem, did it have good gas and what condition is the fuel filter in?

what ever happened to the real hood and the cage looks a hole lot better

I hate to say it but me and k2500 found out it mite be bad bearings because when you turn the flywheel the crank and rod click

We'll I've already swaped the engine to a17.5 brigs OHV which was in my MTD. Also chevy kid, when I was spinning the flywheel, it seemed to loose compression. And it did not come with a hood lol.

Also i accidentally put 89 octane gas in it, Idk if that made it worse.... 

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I finally got to work on my Murray again. I switched the engine to a 17.5 OHV Briggs and Stratton. Also one of my friends gave me a hood to put on it. And I made a switch for my lights.
