My two trikes are geared way to high for what i want them to day and id really like them both to be done by monday or at least wendsday of next week. my trike has a 2 inch on the motor and 10 inch on the axle. and it bogs down the motor with 16's on it? when before i had a 9 on the axle and 2 on the motor and didnt bog down. also my friends has a 3 inch on the motor and a 12 inch on the axle with a 13. his doesnt bog down as much as mine but its a centriugal clutch and it doesnt like starting off. the one with the 2-10 in has enough room for a 15 inch pulley on the axle should i look for a big pulley up my camp this weekend or should i start finding stuff for a jackshaft. my second one does not have enough room for anything bigger, so should i put a jackshaft on that one? heres a pic of my set ups both with a belt and tensionor pulley

seems like to high of a ratio yours is a 1:5 and your buddies is less at 1:4 and 9 on the axle and 2 on the motor is bout 1:4.5 so a lower ratio or a bigger engine should fix that

how fast u lookin to go with this thing? i was watchin you your videos... so with one wheel drive you will constantly have to be counter steering cuz it will want to spin in circles. putting in a live axle will solve that.

and on my tractor if i spin one wheel by hand the other will spin in the opposite direction... but idk how your tranny is setup

o its fine if i was actually using the transaxle i wouldnt be asking this, im good with the gearings on them. the one is using a transaxle just as and axle holder you can call it haha, but it just has the two shafts in it not any other gears and the pulley is bolted dirrectly to the drive wheel.

A 10:1 would probably be good.
But you don't have room for a bigger rear pulley correct?
Really isn't many ways to solve that without a gear box or jackshaft.

mine has room for up to a 15 inch and if i can get a 15 in it will be 7.5:1 wich i used a gokart speed calculator wich will get me doing 23mph wich will have enough torque but my friends there is no room so i am puttin a jackshaft on it, and to theboredredneck they do fight you on these trikes it always wants to go towards the right and you had to steer against it but its good

But this thing weighs more then a kart rite?
Yeah a 15" probably would work just fine, and you'll still have a some nice top speed too.

Ok cool, so the 15" pulley would work great.
I'd go for that!
