| i recently acquired a yard machine with a vari drive in it and im thinking about putting a 6 speed transaxle in it so then it will have a 42 speed tractor it will be un-pully swapped and im looking for any tips/estaments on the top speed if i get enough interest in it i will build it, so any help would be greatly appreciated (i got the idea from fearless front + i don't have know if anyone has done it before) | |

| Ya with the vari drive there's only f-n-r so I should figure out the ratio of the transaxle I think its probably the same as the 6-speed in 6th gear It should have alot of speed ranges | |

| Now what I'm wondering is, does the vari drive act like a governor/torque converter like if you go uphill | |

| I don't think so on second thought because it works by clutch movement and belt tension | |

| Ya mine is just like that but a few years older. Mine has f-n-r on a panel between my legs si it would be very easy to put in a 6-speed | |
