I made an engine stand out of 2 pieces of 2x6 and 2 pieces of 2x4. Super simple, however it gets the job done. 2x6 are 10" long, ans 2x4 are 12" long. Engine Stand Img_1113

If you make one like that but hinge the bottom blocks, it can fold up for storage! Just need some sort of rod going across the bottom to hold it when it's in use. Looks pretty good.

Oh, I thought you were test running on there. Yeah, plenty rugged for sitting the motor on. For testing purposes, you'll need one of these...

I used to run engines on those folding worktable clamp thingies. Just screwed it down with roofing screws. I plan on making a table eventually. For now I just use a bucket with a 2" hole in the bottom.
