I just a hunk of 1" shaft to welded to some angle steel for each side, then cut the spindles off and welded the whole deal on.
A little brace on the top of each one.
Then a bolt on each side to hold the hubs on.
All mounted up!
Sorta digging the look actually.
Test drive went well.......
Haha. Yeah, that happened. I was rushing through that second side and I actually wasn't all that confident in the setup on that side. I'm just gonna take the spindle out and re-weld and brace it up better. Not really a big deal, nothing else was broken, just though I'd show you fellas my big blunder. Hahaha.

I hope I can make it work, pretty ashamed of myself for letting this happen..but ah well. They clear good, other than the right side rubbing against the muffler. I already have plans to re-locate the muffler to underneath the footboard though so that should fix that problem.

However we're all still waiting on that transaxle tear down video.

Anyway, I did the ol' "haul of shame" today.
I bet it looks even more familiar now eh Mighty? Hahaha
So I started by cutting off that stupid cup thing that was on the spindle to hold the wheel (Shoulda done that to begin with) and I cleaned it all up.
I figured I can rotate it 90* so it sits like this:
And then have that 3/4" steel of the spindle to get some good penetration. I could maybe box it in too if I feel I need to.
I plan to do it that way on the other side as well. More to come later hopefully!

Now you have to get some bigger rear tyres to level her out a bit. I think it might be a good idea to weld another piece of angle on the other side of the spindle, might give it more strength.

First the broken side:
Then the other side:
Then I threw the wheels on and tightened up the bearings:
Then I figured the first thing I should do was ram it up a gate to make sure all was well.
Hahaha.
One short romp later everything still looks good!!
Seems to be solid enough, but I'lll probably add some beef later on as I said. Let me know what ya think!

The front track could be a but wider, bit I could lengthen the axle when I do the suspension If I feel like I should. The bigger tires let it crawl up stuff easier too! Haha.
