My 7 inch nilight is HUGE.  Going to use the 2 pods I have.

Here it is on a more serious note.  Not finished welding or painted, but here is the mock-up of the new bumper.

Also a good welding day.  LOL!

Thanks!  Using an old 230amp stick/arc welder.

Single Nilight or 2 smallers...  Hmm.

Forgot to mention.  Started work on my exhaust and wiring for the headlights and whatever nilight combo I use.  I also have most of the winch wiring complete.  I'll get some pix when I am a little further on the exhaust.

Oh yes, that bumper is much better in every way....

I'd use the 7" and stick the pods behind the original lenses.

LOL, I already have 6000K Led's behind the lenses.  Although the yellowing does dim them down a bit.   Mighty's Li'l Red 2.0 - Page 8 2731072446

I am still trying to decide which to go with.  I like both configurations.

Beginnings of exhaust.  Kind of where I am going with it right now.  Building a 2 into 1 header.

PS: Choke cable is just holding it. Not how it would be ran.

What!? Where?... I don't see any pods behind those lenses. Are they bulbs?

Either way, I like the 7" light bar better than the pods on the brush guard, but that's only my opinion.

They are bulbs that fit in the existing sockets.  I quoted incorrectly.  They are 3000k bulbs. I meant to get the 6000K ones.

I did end up with the 7 inch bar.

Mighty's Li'l Red 2.0 - Page 8 Img_2215

I also finished up the wiring for the winch and for the light bar.  Last of the wiring needed will be the hood lights.  I ran out of the connectors for it.

Mighty's Li'l Red 2.0 - Page 8 Img_2214

Items still in work:

  • still need my panhard bar.
  • build my bumper
  • mount a winch
  • clean up engine, add oil and bolt down
  • Fender flares? (low priority)
  • Gas Pedal
  • EXHAUST  (In-work)

Well exhaust is ran. Not sure how I feel. Not the throaty sound it had. Has a brap sound of a 2 stroke dirt bike right now. Not sure how I feel about that.

I think I will back track a little and add a muffler.

The MM's exhaust sounds pretty good. Always had a deep tone without any mods. So when I ran the tail pipe out the back, it got a low deep tone at idle, and now with that new rear bumper in the way a little, the air coming out hits it hard when I punch it and makes a loud popping sound. It's just a pipe ran right off stock muffler and it sounds great to me. I don't think an oppy muffler would have the same tone though.

EDIT: Maybe you could run dual pipes... Twisted Evil

I've ran duals on an oppy.  Only 1 engine (one in Kal) has ever sounded good with them.  This engine likes 2 into one.  I just need a resonator of sorts in there to change the tone.

I like how the exhaust is turning out, but I think I would hit my knee and inside of my leg on the switch on the side of the dash all the time, I get speed knots on the inside of my legs from the dash after a hard day of riding anyways. but that might just be me, I kinda hang on and balance myself with the inside of my legs on the dash

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing this morning when I was reviewing my pictures ressponding to MM.  After work I may go out and move it.  No sense stabbing my knee over and over and over.  Not sure what I was thinking when I did that.

I agree. I honestly didn't have any major issues with running 2 on the left side of the dash on my red one except for my knee accidentally flipping the switches and turning my lights on when I hit a hard bump Mighty's Li'l Red 2.0 - Page 8 1098998679. But my brother destroyed 2 of his that way and they were right about where that one is.

Exhaust is complete. Put my old stack that was on Thor on as a muffler. Not loud and ear piercing now.

Mighty's Li'l Red 2.0 - Page 8 Img_2218

Sounded ok. While digging around I found the pieces I started cutting for steering spindle gussets. I'll get those on sometimes.

Also moved that switch to the dash top.

List is pretty complete.
Items still in work:

  • still need my panhard bar.

  • mount a winch
  • clean up engine, add oil and bolt down
  • Fender flares? (low priority)
  • Steering spindle bracing.

One more step closer...

As you can see new LED bulbs are brighter than original factory.

Well, I fired up Li'l Red for the first time since just after the 4th of July. Hadn't started the engine since I did the carb kit on it. Still getting a hunt at idle. Seems to still be starving a little bit on fuel. Not near as bad as before. I'll run it a little bit and check out the low speed idle again for new fiber debris in there.

The ride. Steering is tight and it runs true. I like that, like that a lot. Suspension is working GREAT, rides smooth and going through the ditch I don't feel like I am going to flip.

I'll see if I can get a walk-around and driving video for you guys Sunday.

No video yet. When I fixed the hunting, I was test driving it. Trash in carb. I do have some video of that. Nothing of quality content. Anyways...I blew my exhaust out of my block. I ended up making new manifolds today.

I think that small diameter tube blew the exhaust out of the block. Too much back pressure, might wanna go a bit bigger. Just my thought.

Maybe... I kinda figured it would happen.  I had a backup plan.  It should have been plan A all along, but I got lazy.

Also, I think my front monolink came up and hit it too. I redid it higher.

Did a little engine freshening up. Already had to pull the low speed jet and take out a piece of debris so it would idle good. Also did minor painting. That's getting harder as it get colder. New plugs, and now the right fuel filter for a fuel pump engine.

I'm just about done with the 2.0 build.  I have a couple pieces of stickies to put on, I also need a smaller belt.  The 96 inch I have is a little loose now after some use.  I will look into my adjustment pulley before I get a smaller belt.

Little parting shot for now.  I'm trying to put together a video of the updates.

Future updates.
After the Holidays and got some bills paid down, I will be looking into some new rear tires unless some good ones fall into my lap.  It's going to suck because there will not be any bonuses this year company wide.  Thank you inferior middle east pilots that do not know how to fly, but that is a rant for another day.
