My 13 year old son has been missing shop classes since COVID started. He wanted to build a go kart and in the process of trying to find a motor to start with, a good buddy gave us this 1988 Craftsman 12hp.
The plan is to use it for a fun custom project that my son can learn on and tinker with. We already have a ton of ideas including lowering it, adding front fenders, widening the rear fenders and giving it a hot rod paint job.
Its been sitting for about 7 years, and had 2 flat front tires. Now that the tires are fixed, we will go thru the motor to make sure its ready to get fired up.
