I like the guide also.
I have to ask… does the engine turn clockwise looking at the end we see in the pic? If so, it looks like the clutch is on the wrong side. (I’m guessing the double pulley is the clutch)
Half typed out and realize you see the gold pulleys. They are just idlers. His clutch is down by the trans pulley. One with the red ear on top.
Stock path...
Cool.
So, which way does the engine turn… looking at that pic. CW or CCW? My curiosity is getting to me.
(I must pay attention when I’m posting. Twice in the last day, I typed something and somehow didn’t get it posted)

Not to highjack the thread but most engine's turn clockwise looking at the flywheel and counterclockwise looking at the output shaft. (You have to turn the transaxle input shaft backwards in order to go forward on these)

Yep, I just wanted to be sure what I was looking at.

Got the refinements done including clutch brake, new floorboard support, upper-inner belt guide and to top it off the factory beltguard fits now. I am amazed at how good this clutch is. It is better than factory.

I built a gas pedal for it. I absolutely love the way this clutch feels and the way it drives.

If interested in a remote choke. These have been confirmed to fit a 420 Predator. Not sure if the carb plate is the same for the 440 Duromax or not. I have one on my 389cc clone. Unfortunately, they have gone up $10 since I got mine a few months back.

that’s a pretty good idea and I am planning on rigging something up, The thing is I’m not sure how long this carburetor is going to stay so I don’t know if I wanna spend 27 bucks on that yet

@MightyRaze I am leaning toward the Mikuni PZ30 down the road. Right now I want to break in the motor and work on my driving skills with the stock set up.

I drilled out the brass plug on the idle adjustment screw so I can adjust it and I also opened up the idle jet just a little bit with a torch tip cleaner.

thanks again @CreepyCrawler for the design work, I still have some details to finish like a weld-on receiver and capping the tubes but I’m pretty happy with my rear bumper/grab bar

Tractor is coming along great!
That screw you drilled the cap off is the air/fuel mixture, it's good for correcting a motor that surges at idle and cleaning up throttle response. The idle jet is housed in this little black thing you can pry up and out (circled).
