okay, so my first attempt at the build-off scrapy ended up being too much work at one time, especially with school going on (not scraped still working on!). so gentleman I present to you a minty 71-wheel horse 8 with a 4-speed trans, the 8hp Kohler is shot. my plan is simple and I decided what the heck let's get it in the build-off! plans are -swap 8hp for 14hp Kohler -vintage cut pulling ags -front tri rib tires - gas pedal -weight brackets -paint? -decals with the name HORSE N AROUND -wheelie bars -hitch -kill switch and I am sure I am missing some stuff.

I use to do some pulling back in the day with a Cub Cadet. still love to see me some pulling tractors. it seems to have died off around here in central Indiana. Good luck on the build !

updates! i got the motor harvested from the sears and into the wheel horse and lets just say shes a big gal! my first idea was just bolt a plate to the frame then to the engine. but after consulting the boss of the project he said "what if we tied in the front weight bracket into the way the motor will bolt to the frame " and i was like sure! motor out motor in the predicament

Wheelhorses came with Kohlers so maybe you just need a different oil pan? Give me a measurement on the bolting holes on the framerails and I'll measure the pan I have

i went out and measured er from outside to outside and came up with 6 1/2 roughly on the motor width and 5 1/2 on the frame.

On a 10hp Kohler (not the blown up one btw) motor to pan approx 4x10, pan mounting ears approx 6x10.5. My buddy (blown up motor) just told me that alot of Wheelhorse pans have threaded boss on the bottom of the pan but your frame holes look threaded? Was that WH a 8HP by chance? That could be the difference
**edit** I see you stated it was an 8 already, time to fabricate unless a 8 pan will fit! Lol

Here's photos my friend sent me, said the WH motors sit off to the side and there's threaded bosses on the bottom of the oil pan.

@Brianator ya, she was an 8 it had the motor plate/riser which actually slid the motor directly in the middle of the frame . i think the idea i got in my head should work hopefully i think.

updates a lot of em! the motor is completely bolted in and not going anywhere until i paint it (hopefully!) the idea worked great all it consisted of was 4 coupling nuts sitting in notches in the frame. it should be plenty strong after we brace it up with the weight bar that will be welded over the the original frame to basically box everything together. and a additional bonus is i got the motor to run in the horse chassis after some wiring schematics and help from dad we got er figured out! so heres some pics [url=https://servimg.com/view/20425859/3]

@Brianator thanks I had my dad help out on those I think they turned out great! I think the next order of business is going to be the front weight bracket, wheelie bars, and hitch!
