So my friend is back with another Murray build! This one a factory MST-205(I think) The OG 14.5 OHV Briggs that came in it he took out (I think it was far to far gone) and put a 12 hp Flatty in its place. This engine is a known good runner from an old DynaMark I helped him get running. (The DynaMark is the tractor the Spicer in his last tractor is from.) He just need to get a new carb for it and engine wise this thing should be good to go!
He is in the process of pulling the trans pulley off, but it is fighting him. He is going to try and run a 1:1 pulley ratio.
The shaft that has been giving him trouble. The pulley he is going to run is and OG pulley from a hydro Murray. it is a little bit smaller. He is going to use some 22x8x11 tires from a Honda ATC. He is going to keep working on it and I will be able to document it for you guys here on ATLTF!

So my friend finally got the trans pulley off after much struggle. He cut the old hub out and is going to use a pulley from an old DynaMark. (Last post i said hydro Murray. I was mistaken.) He is using self tappers to hold the new pulley together. He did grind down the screws so they are not just spinning wheel of death. lol He was able to use the OG belt after installing a new idler pulley. He also did a pulley flop on the front pulley and drilled a hole in the crankshaft, so he is going to be using a 1:1 ratio. Next on the list is a carb, tires, and he needs to fix the steering.

HOLY CRAP! I mean, uhhh, well, like I can’t even be mad really, but just wow. I wonder how long it’ll hold together. I would probably have cut the self tappers off a bit over flush and then peened over the rest like a rivet. Then they wouldnt come out.
@RichieRichOverdrive I think the pic shown is not how it looked when done. I think he cut the self tappers shorter I just didn't get a pic of it. We will see how long/well it holds up. If it fails he can weld it using the self tappers to hold it center. lol
