The old cubby saga

So I'm looking at purchasing for very cheap a TON of old cub tractors and I may use some spare parts to build a rig out of one but here's the first one I picked up for 50$ missing a majority of clutch parts and they broke the grille while pulling it out it was buried up to the deck it has no model info at all so can someone tell me what the heck it is? I know it's obviously a ih cub but past that I'm clueless

It IS a cub 1200 built from 74 to 80 and I dont know the exact year yet, I found it while researching while borec at work, I also cleaned the starter up some found the PTO clutch was rust seized and got it to turn over by teeth on the flywheel. I sprayed lube down the plug hole and she cranks! It is a Kholer k301 too which is the first one I've ever owned and it's AWESOME!!! I love old iron like this. I plan on buying a bunch more cubbies after I get this one running. but first a used or new carbalator and prob clean the points, does it have to have power to activate the coil like a car?

Yes I answered my own question it does need power like a car I cleaned the points they are on the side of the motor and the thing fired right up like it was sleeping I LOVE IT!! I'm having so much fun rn. The only thing that would make it better would be having a carburator.it starts real easy actually has super strong spark too I likey.

I will be picking up a cub 125 hydro when the field blocking it is harvested, there's a cub with no model on it and I think it just so happens to be a fabeled cub 126 which are one of the rarest cubs, but it's in very poor shape it has a bad transaxle and is missing the seat and fenders but I may be able to scavenge enough parts to restore it if it is a 126, I'm picking up the 126 tommrow I think and also half a wheelie horse with a k301

Is the top pic the 126 you are talking about?  If so, I see the model plate right there in your pic.  Left of hitch.  Black square?

Its a 124 I bought it anyway lol I have the 1200 posted for 350 as is and I'm gonna slowly work on it and repost it, but I have to tear down the 124's transaxles after I get it running and on some not flat tires lol



Also I found the limits of my clapped out mst206 today it has survived 2 haspin trips and 4 badlands trips and probably a few hundred miles of riding and abuse and it just snapped in half today
