These have proven to be a spear in my side. The parts availability of anything related to this axle shape seems to be very... limited. Not a lot of information I can get either from Google.
I do see these (https://www.amazon.com/MTD-918-04228A-Troy-Bilt-Craftsman-Revolution/dp/B0743XB96N) but I'm not even sure of the lug pattern or what possible tires/rims I could use with them?
Anybody else around here every fooled with this design?

Based on this pic the bolt pattern looks to be about 3.25" × 3.25" and I have never personally seen bolt on wheels that size but apparently they exist. Actual measurements would probably be metric btw.
What alot of folks do to use bolt on wheels is cut the centers and hubs out of original wheels then drill a bolt pattern to match wheels they can get ahold of (like 8" ATV wheels)
@Brianator I plan on taking the differential off tomorrow, taking it apart, inspecting and regreasing it. I'm prrroobbabbllyyy gonna take some measurements and see if I can find different axle styles that might fit.
Shouldn't be too hard, I think. (now that I've said that, it's gonna be a Albuquerque .)

What tractor/transaxle are you working on? I noticed you had a GT6000 but that shouldn't have the double d axles and I've never seen a Dana/Spicer/Foote with anything other than a keyway. If you're building the transaxle for offroading a strait axle swap might be in your best interests and they're are plenty of ways to achieve that!
@Brianator It's a Montgomery Ward TMO-33864A. Originally an 8hp/32 cut. Put a 10.5 B&S in it that my boss gave me after he cut my crankshaft in half by accident (trying to get a stuck pulley loose).
from the diagrams, the transaxle part number 717-0326; however, there's barely any information about it online. Not really gonna try to offroad it since it's almost a unibody design lol the body is the frame, basically.
BUT it'll hold up for a little zoomy zoom.

I know the type you're talking about, alot of newer Murrays are like that but they can be beefed up and offroaded, check out some of @MurrayMountain's tractors
