| I have a 1988 Murray 11/32 with a five speed peerless. I was wondering what pulley sizes I should run with a jack shaft and 16" tires. I want to do about forty miles per hour, the trans already has a 2.5 inch pulley on it. | |

| Do you have a picture of your setup? I'm not really sure what the jackshaft is?
I have a 5-speed spicer with a 4" pulley and a 6" pulley on the engine. It probably tops out around 15-20mph. It just feels fast because I'm closer to the ground than a car and bouncing all around with no suspension. | |

| Okay, thanks for the info. I can't get a picture of the jack shaft setup as I have not ordered the parts yet. A jack shaft is like an axle with two pulleys one with a belt going to the engine and the other to the transmission, subsiquently I will have four pulleys. | |

| I would make the pulleys on the jackshaft a 1:1 ratio, that is a 3:3 or 4:4 ect. Then you can use the engine and trans pulley to get it faster. | |
