Fresh eggs? Empty
PostSubject: Fresh eggs?   Fresh eggs? Icon_minitimeOctober 9th 2021, 7:52 pm

Nope. But I had to share this. Amazing happening...

We have a small flock of chickens and they are on strike right now. I need to get their light going in the hen house. Anyway...

Last YEAR, 2020, in July, we put some eggs away. They are in a covered plastic bowl, submerged in a lime water solution. They sit in the coldest corner (not very cold, just cool all the time) of our pantry.

So, my wife needed a couple of eggs for making some goodie for supper. No fresh eggs. I got the bowl of stored eggs out and (my wife made me take them outside) and cracked two. Both are fine! Over 14 months old, with no refrigeration. YMMV

But, it worked for us. We are both amazed. If you want to try it, youtube has the instructions. Easy, lime water solution and eggs and put them away.

cheers
