So I thought it would be a good idea to start a resource thread for just the Peerless MST 200 series transaxles to help make future searches and referencing easier for all. Anyone is welcome to add their input and experiences, if you find helpful links please post them and I'll copy them into the list. As more info and diagrams are found or submitted it will be added.

The idea came to me because @Krawler86 started this build thread and asked about his MST, both @MurrayMountain and I chimed in and I realized there wasn't a central source of info for them so here we go, let's build it!

MST 200 Series Info, Tips and Tricks
- They come with up to 6 speeds. The least amount I know of is a 3 speed.
- They have a gear driven reverse instead of chain.
- According to the manual all MST 200s are filled with 16oz of 80w90 gear oil.
- As far as I know all MST cases are the same, @RCG bought a MST203 and put MST206 internals in it. The video can be seen HERE.
- The MST series transaxle by Peerless gear provides recesses for bearings, but doesn't include them. To strengthen your transaxle, order two bearings and install.
- MSTs that come in Murray tractors tend to have a longer shift shaft.
- If you're going to be overspeeding your MST (or any trans for that matter) with a pulley swap and or a high revving engine it's in your best interest to drill, tap and add a vent on a high point on the case where it won't interfere with any internal parts. Pressure that it wasn't intended to handle WILL build up causing leaks, potentially blowing seals and
the worst case scenario would be a cracked case! Yes, it COULD happen. Adding a grease fitting between the needle roller bearings on the input shaft and greasing them regularly will prolong the life of those expensive little bearings you'd rather not replace!

Common MST Parts

- Axle bearings are 6203-12-2RS (2RS stands for the rubber seals which should be removed to allow oil to circulate properly).
