5 or 6 speed

i got a 5 speed trans and was wondering if the gearing is any better then the 6 speed..if it is im going to switch it out

IIRC - If they are peerless 820 series transaxles or similar, the top and bottom gears are the same in both.

The gears are the same top and bottom on our 820's, but they can be almost any combo depending on model number.

If if is the tractor in his avatar, it is not a 820.

Pretty much all mower transmissions are gear approximately the same on top speed.
