No problem and yeah I want it light and fast aswell. But remember this is the prototype so to speak. It will be easy if it works as planned to produce another one and make it lighter and tweak it.

Also ebayed this Genuine Briggs Opposed muffler ( not that im gonna use it on the final build ).
I did some rust threatment on it.

Btw its not painted yet.
And I mainly got it for the header adaptors.

Also bolted the engine on the frame for the first time and loosely mocked up the jackshaft and CVT, My clearing on the driven and frame is zilch, nada, zero I wonder how the belt will act to that?

I wondered how you did this, mounting the tire on a fatter rim. Its always a huge pain, to me at least, to mount a small tubless tire using just compressed air.

Stretching tires is hard, even with a filler ring. Tubes makes it easier though.

I really do like the chain setup to the transaxle. But I wonder if you can switch that chain and put a pulley on the jackshaft and transaxle and it would still work right?

Sure, but why add slippage Smile

And I re-designed the Steering wheel axle rear support and made the bottom 820 Peerless mount hollow, to save weight.

Sure wasnt easy to get the jackshaft to run straight in that tiny spot. Maybe the Driven Unit isnt straight from the factory cause ive read many stories about many being warped. Tho I just think I need to weld in some jackshaft mount guides, something the jackshaft mount can rest against in the default mounting holes.

Briggs Opposed Twin @ Idle with Dual Pipes, Noisy Smile

I also got new short shifter rod and fork and the short input axle for the Peerless 820, this so I can get the seat another inch lower. (recorded it upside down lol oh well, also I called the part number the "pin number" lol oh well)... Razz

If I may ask, why is it idling so high?

I dont know, hope'd you could tell me. Its all the way down there both choke and throttle. Might be the leaky intake tho. Tho I think its my governed setting. I havent studied it much yet. Just got it running, remember.

Btw you can see when i throttle up the clutch engages. And it does engage at 1700rpm so its not that high, maybe 2-300rpm to high. Tho I've read these should not idle below 1200rpm since its splash lubed.

Het Thunder Divine change your Idle adjustment screw on the carb a bit you can get 1000-1200 RPM by adjusting it

yes, I suppose you have a point. Still, Ive never seen an opposed twin idle that high. You mention the leaky intake, I would look there to solve that problem. Otherwise, if it works for you, then it works for you.

Its not leaky as such, and ive seen loads on you tube.
Whats the idle at if you should guess? My guess is max 1500rpm

I got the repair manual, will do a read up on idle speeds since these have many idle settings.

But dont get fooled by the "Look how low mine can go" vids cause they wont get good cooling if below 1000-1200rpm.

Also remeber we have 98 octane gasoline in the pumps, thats racing fuel to you guys so it might just even be a run-in thing.

Anywho i got far more serious things to sort out than a high idle setting Razz

Quite familiar with proper idle adjustments with the opposed twins... I ran them most often at an even 1000 rpm.
