How do you guys think that a should do a lift I'm going to make a mudder out of a huskey gt and a jd120 with a broken front axle. It will have a 22hp engine. Do you think the lift is necersy.

well that depends, how much mud are you looking to plow through? honstly, i wouldnt bother. start with a normal tractor, get yourself rolling with that, learn the mechanics and physics of it, like what does what, and WHY it does it, and then go from there. start simple, then work your way up

I wish I had that advice when I started, maybe I'd have a working mower right now, lol
and you don't need a lift unless your tires don't clear, other wise it will just make your mower taller but still have the same amount of clearance!

This guy gets it! bigger tires more axle clearence. Any other lift isnt really functional just for looks

I went through 3 tractors before i started to do lifts. I would advise that you just stick to a stock height and mod other things. The only reason i lifted my mower was so I could have better clearance for rock crawling but I suppose I did it for looks also because everyone I show it too thinks its amazing, (but thats just cuz they haven't seen a lifted mower before). Plus where I live my terrain is more rocky so I do a lot more crawling than bogging. I don't think there is a need to lift an all purpose mower because one day you might want to race rally or crawl or go mudding. My lifted is strictly crawling and mudding.

my MTD is lifted one inch to get the belts to line up, but none of mine are lifted more than that.
