hey has anyone seen any pics a 4wd tractor? would like to use a mower trani. most like a hydrostatic for the front. i know there is a lot of work involved to do it but im down for it. im just looking for ideas or coments maybe some pics!!!

the easiest way to do this would be to find an AWS (all wheel steer) mower, and rob the rear transaxle and knuckles off it, then plant it under YOUR front. you would have to make sure the ratios are same front and back, along with the gearing. it CAN be done, and works quite well. there is a few guys out there that have done it successfully.

also check out PuppetKicker on youtube he built something much like Wetheral's but instead his transaxles dont run off of the same shift linkage, allowing him to have "selectable" 4wd
