Cool idea! Thought of similar, but without that type crane. I prefer a non-swinging boom. Just for simplicity and strength. Yours would have some definite advantages though.

looks cool if you need any help or tips there is a guy on youtube built one but out of a murray its called ( murray mayhem ) good channel hes got 22 inch tires and its pully sawaped its cool
