My tecumseh 13hp is smoking whild!! its running ritch.eny ideas what is the cause of this? Carb rebuild or somthing?

maybe worn piston ring. my lawn mower smokes a little bit and i think its because it might have a worn piston ring. it also can smoke a little if you put more oil then it needs in it.

What color is the smoke?
Black= rich , blue=bad rings or valve seals.
