help with a yamaha tri zinger

i'm working on a little 84 Yamaha tri zinger 3 wheeler for a friend, the carb and pull start assembly are missing, the carb is easy to find, but the pull start assembly is another matter, I found 1 assembly but they want more than the bike is worth for it, as a fix and flip my friend won't want to pay $225+shipping for a part on a bike he gave $80 for and might get $200-$250 out of when running, so if anyone has any ideas on what I might be able to do i'm open to all suggestions atm

3 wheelers are getting rare and the parts fetch a premium.  A machine like that would most likely just get parted out.  It's really hard to fix and flip trikes because the parts are expensive.  I'll never get the money back out that I've put into mine, but I love them and plan on keeping them for decades.
