Sure is nice to be able to slide to a stop!

I've seen many of you ask how to get brakes for your tractor..... Here's what I did. Using a cut off saw, I grabbed a few disc brake pads from my mechanic neighbor and simply separated the pad material from the metal backing. Once separated, I simply used the old brake pad as a pattern, and traced it on the new brake pad material. I used the same cut off wheel that I use for metal and cut out the new brakes! A little shaving here and there to get them to fit, and I can stop with the best of them!!

Awesome idea.

My only worry is that the automotive break material would wear out your break disk. Assuming that the brake disk on a tractor isn't made of the same quality steel as a brake rotor.

Vehicle brake material works great for tractors, just be sure to wear a mask when cutting it...
