PostSubject: Hydro Question/ problem   Hydro Question/ problem Icon_minitimeJanuary 25th 2013, 1:55 pm

I have a Hydro Gear rcl120002 trani, when I spin the pulley nothing happens, ive spun it with a drill and nothing happens?

Any idea's, does it need to spin faster to turn the axle?

Its a hydro, the pump needs to be spinning at engine speeds to generate the pressure to turn the wheels.
It also has to be full of oil, in either forward or reverse, and spinning the right direction.
There is no mechanical connection between the input shaft and differential.

The axles won't turn if it is not "in gear" if it is in neutral position oil just bypasses.

Depending on model, Max input speeds are anywhere between 2000-4000 RPM.

I connected the trani to my corded hilti drill which runs at 1400rpm. It turned the axle but not at amazing speed, what is the small leaver for next to the input shaft?

Its probably your FNR valve lever.

On some it ma be a hi/low range lever.
