| I saw this little tiny Toyota one, and there was a Dodge Neon (yuck) engine and transmisson bundle that was tiny.
I'm probably gonna put an ad on Craigslist, and see if anyone wants to donate thier junk car.

As long as you put it in the right category (items wanted), its not against the ToU. Just a heads up. Ive been battling flaggers for a while now trying to keep an ad up. | Well I'll see what happens. There's a lot of farms with cars rotting away in fields around here. I may check in with them.

Guy here owns a garage that looks like it just came out of the 60s, and its loaded with classic car bodies. The back lot of it is loaded with classics too; buses, work trucks, cars, tow trucks, jeeps, everything. I guess he owns a lot about 10 miles from this one and has about 4 times the stuff there. And none of it ever moves, although stuff will move every once in a while. He sells them on Craigslist, or at least lists them, but wants too much. If he didnt want so much I would have one by now. | Geezum, that is overpriced!
Ok I have two more project questions:
1: Suspenstion. Do I need shocks and springs?
2: Front wheel drive. Will that work? It's gonna be hard for me to locate a 4cyl rear wheel drive car.

You could do FWD but it would be very, very hard to do. What you could do is get a FWD car and a RWD car and just use the tranny and drivetrain off the RWD. | Front wheel drive wouldnt be that hard just cut the frame and tranny from the car and weld it to your frame lol

I'll proabably try it. Might want a wider rear end then, because im not too sure how hard it will be to shorten the axle base with a FWD, considering they use universal joints. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| Ya ok ill do rear. Two more questions:
Does any tranny mount to any engine? Like if I get a 4cyl engine, will it mount to a truck tranny for RWD?
And also, shoul u widen the front if I use a car rear axle? I don't want a Reliant!

| Not any tranny will mount to any motor for example a ford 8 cylinder flat head can replace a ford 4 cylinder flat head but a chevy 8 cylinder wont mount unless you machine your own mounts or a special adapter plate you should be able to find this information on a website i saw a while back ill post it here if you find it you should try to make the front and back about the same width my go kart had a wider front and so does my fourwheeler i had one with a narrower front end and it was a little but more prone to going up on 2 wheels kinda like a Relient Robin as you said lol | |
