Payment method is completely up to the buyer and seller, but if you are wondering how to pay, here are a few do's and dont's.

**NOTE: Some members live in different countries. Be sure to convert to their currency unless they request otherwise!**

DO

**PayPal [ http://www.paypal.com ]

PayPal has been around for quite some time and is the best way to pay for items online. Using your PayPal account to send money ensures buyer and seller security, while allowing you to pay from either your PayPal balance, credit/ debit card (gift cards too!), or bank account. Paypal is 100% free to use.

Usually both parties need PayPal accounts.

**Pay in Person

If picking your item up, cash in hand is the best way to do it.

OK

**Western Union

Western Union allows you to send money by going to one of their in-store locations, and the people receiving can pick it up at a WU location. However, there is no buyer security as once its transferred, its gone.

**Money Order (via USPS) [ https://www.usps.com/shop/money-orders.htm ]

USPS allows you to send money by visiting one of their offices. Click the link above for more details. Like WU, there is no buyer security so once its transferred, its gone.

**Mail a check

This is one of the unsafer methods, but is safer than sending cash. When sending a check, be sure to use a security envelope and/ or wrap the check in something dark, like construction paper.

DON'T

**Give your credit card number

This is 100% unsafe and will lead to your card information being stolen. Never give your card information away.

**Send cash in mail

This is also unsafe as your payment can be lost or stolen. If sending money by mail is your only option, be sure to package it inside something else so it cannot be seen or heard.

-----

Hopefully this will help some of you in your future purchases.

If you have anything to add, let me know.

Sending a check is safer, but I beat you to both either way haha.

I've had good luck with money orders. I've never been screwed yet, but there is always a first time.

I generally don't buy stuff on ebay, I havent used my account for 10 years.

Most of the parts i've bought have been from large secure sites, or from reasonably trustworthy forum members.
