| I got a free craftsman this past weekend at our towns ammesty day. It's a 14hp kohler with a 6 speed foote tranny. It's one if the models with a side shifter on the fender deck. I've been toying with the idea of making it a speed tractor which brings me to my question. I've seen it done but how had us it to make this tractor 100% manual like on a car? I think it'd be pretty cool. | |

| Sounds like you just add a gas and break petal on the opposite side of the clutch petal, you already have a side shifter. Think of lowering the seat and smaller tires and pully swap if your really going the racer route. | |

| You can hotshift it fine. Just depress the clutch a bit, I do about 60% or more, and shift it. ![](https://i.servimg.com/u/f86/19/98/54/71/separa13.png) Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures
